Who We Are
Unitel Money is an independent intelligence platform covering mobile money, international remittances, stablecoin-powered payments, blockchain infrastructure, and financial inclusion across emerging markets. We provide institutional-quality analysis designed for professionals, investors, policymakers, researchers, and the informed public seeking authoritative insight into how money moves for the world's unbanked and underbanked populations.
Our Focus
We concentrate on three interconnected domains: the mobile money ecosystem in Lusophone Africa (Angola, Mozambique), the evolving payments landscape in Brazil (Pix, digital wallets, airtime-as-money), and the growing use of stablecoins and blockchain technology as cross-border remittance infrastructure. Our coverage spans the $95 billion African remittance market, the $251 billion global stablecoin economy, and the 44+ million unbanked adults across Brazil and Angola who represent the next frontier of financial inclusion.
Editorial Leadership
Unitel Money was founded by Donovan Vanderbilt, a global executive and strategic advisor based in Vevey, Switzerland. Donovan holds an MBA from Imperial College London and brings deep expertise in government advisory, institutional banking, fintech entrepreneurship and digital transformation strategy. His work spans engagements across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, with particular focus on how technology can bridge the gap between traditional finance and the financially excluded.
Design & Technology
The Unitel Money platform was designed by Bureau Helix, Geneva — a digital architecture studio specialising in editorial design systems for global advisory and intelligence platforms. Our interface follows Swiss design principles: clarity, precision, generous whitespace, and typographic hierarchy that puts content first.
